Annual or perennial forb or shrub to 1m tall. Leaves alternating up the stems, 1-8cm long, 3-14mm wide, flat, hairless to slightly hairy or slightly rough, edges toothed, or occasionally smooth in the upper leaves. Flower heads often small (about 3mm across) white or pale mauve, with 0 petals, Flower heads globular or oval, in loose to dense groups at the ends of the stems. Vulnerable Vic.
