Annual grass to 1.25m tall. Leaves with a sheath at the base. Ligule a membrane with or without a fringe of hairs. Leaves 2-5mm wide, folded together lengthwise, the edges rolled in, or flat, slightly rough, with rough edges. Spikelets 1-2mm long. Mature seed groups cylindrical to spreading. Seeds with 0 bristles. Endangered Vic.
