Perennial grass, sprawling or to 60cm tall. Leaves with a rough hairy sheath at the base. Ligule a frnge of hairs. Leaves 2-8cm long, to 1mm wide, threadlike, folded together lengwise, or rolled, hairless or hairy, often bristly. Spikelets 3-43mm long. Mature seed groups cylindrical to spreading. Seeds with 0 bristles. Poorly known Vic.
