Introduced perennial grass to 92cm tall. Leaves with a hairy or hairless sheath at the base. Ligule a fringe of hairs. Leaves 4-30cm long, 1-4mm wide, flat, or the edges rolled inwards, often folded when dry, hairless. Spikelets 4-16mm long. Seeds with 0 bristles. Mature seed groups spreading.
