Notes

Mallee or tree to 15m tall.  Bark rough below, smooth above, rarely smooth throughout.  No oil glands in the branchlet pith.  Leaves aromatic when crushed, alternating up the stems, 4.5-11cm long, 4-18mm wide, flat, hairless, glossy green.  Flowers white, with 0 petals, and 2 rows of stamens, the outer ring not producing pollen, in clusters of 3-11 flowers at the bases of the leaves.  Bud caps shorter than the base.  Nut valves not very noticeable.
