Tree or multi-stemmed like a mallee, to 20m tall. Bark rough except for the smallest branches.. Leaves aromatic when crushed, alternating up the stems, 6-18cm long, 8-20 mm wide, flat, hairless, glossy or dull, green to grey, somewhat thick. Flowers white to cream (rarely pink), with 0 petals, 7-11 per cluster, in panicles at the ends of the stems. Bud caps shorter than the base. Nut valves not very noticeable.
