Tree to 12m tall. Bark smooth throughout, light pink to rich brown and grey. Oil glands in the pith of the branchlets. Leaves alternating up the stems, aromatic when crushed, 3-8.5cm long, 6-15mm wide, glossy green, flat, hairless, tips blunt or pointed. Flowers white, with 0 petals, in clusters of 3 at the bases of the leaves. Bud caps shorter than the base. Buds and nuts square in cross-section, the nuts with 4 wings. Nut valves not very noticeable. Vulnerable Australia. Native of WA.
