Notes

Tree to 12m tall.  Bark rough except for the branches.  Oil glands in the pith of the branchlets.  Leaves aromatic when crushed, alternating up the stems, 8-11.5cm long, 13-20mm wide, dull and pale, flat, hairless, with a straight or curved point.  Flowers red to pink, with 0 petals, in clusters of 4-7 flowers at the bases of the leaves, sometimes 2-3 clusters at the same leaf base.  Bud caps about the same length as or longer than the base.  Bud bases and the bases of the caps ribbed.  Nut valves not very noticeable.  Basal portion of buds and nuts ribbed. Native to WA.
