Introduced annual forb, sprawling. Leaves alternating up the stems, about 3cm long, about 15-35mm wide overall, flat, dissected, carrot-like, each leaflet about 0.6cm long, about 6-8mm wide, hairless or slightly glaucous. Flowers tubular, with 4 petals forming 2 lips, pink or reddish with purple tips, in racemes of 7-15 flowers or more on stalks arising from the bases of the leaves. Flowers sometimes small and self-pollinating. Fumaria muralis ssp. muralis in NSW, SA, and Vic. Family Fumariaceae in NSW.
Differs from Fumaria bastardii in that the flowers are usually in groups of 7-15, and the fruiting body is usually smooth, sometimes finely wrinkled when dry.
