Annual forb to 30cm tall. Leaves alternating up the stem, 0.4-3.5cm long, to 4mm wide, flat to linear, hairy becoming hairless, more or less sticky. Flowers greenish yellow to yellow, with 0 petals. Flower heads squashed spherical to broadly oval, borne singly at the ends of the stems.
