Introduced annual forb to 20cm tall. Leaves opposite each other, with a short sheath between the pairs of leaves, 0.4-2.5cm long, less than 1mm wide, narrow cylindrical or linear, sticky, with a long point. Flowers pink or red, with 5 notched petals, solitary on stalks originating at the bases of the leaves. Treated as a native plant in NSW.
