Annual forb, prostrate or to 40cm tall.  Leaves clustered at the base of the plant and alternating up the stem, flat, hairy, lobed to toothed.  Basal leaves to 3-13cm long,  stem leaves 0.5-3.5cm long.  Flowers fragrant, mauve, pink, or white, with 4 petals, initially in clusters of up to about 20 flowers at the ends of the stems, later elongating into racemes.

Differs from Harmsiodoxa blennodioides in that the petals are 2.2-4.4mm long, and the stalks of the fruiting bodies are stout and mostly less than 7mm long.

Differs from Harmsiodoxa puberula in that the petals are 2.2-4.4mm long.
