Introduced annual forb, prostrate. Upper leaves alternating along the stems. Leaves 0.3-1.1cm long, 1-3mm wide, linear to flat, covered in short bristly hairs, with hairy edges. Flowers tiny (less than 3mm across), green, with 5 'petals', in spherical 6-12 flowered clusters at the bases of the leaves.
