Annual forb, prostrate or to 2cm tall. Basal leaves soon withering, 0.3-0.6cm long, hairless, with a short point. Stem leaves opposite each other on the stem to alternating along the stem, to 1.4mm wide, flat, sparsely hairy, margins curved down, with a small straight point. Flowers small (less than 3mm across) with 0 petals. Flower heads hemispherical, borne singly at the ends of the stems. Rare SA. Endangered Vic.
Differs from Hyalosperma demissum in that it has hairy stems and broader, flat, leaves.
