Introduced perennial forb to 80cm tall. Leaves in a rosette at the base of the plant, 3-25cm long, 10-50mm wide, flat, rough hairy, rarely hairless, edges lobed and toothed or with slightly wavy margins. Flowers yellow, with many ‘petals’. Flower heads broad cylindrical, borne singly or in open groups of a few flowers on a stem arising from the base of the plant.
