Introduced shrub, to 60cm tall or sprawling. Leaves succulent, opposite each other, 1.5-4cm long, 2-4mm wide, round in cross-section with a keel, covered with small dots or glands. Flowers with many purple or white 'petals', solitary at the ends of the stems.
