Annual forb to 30cm tall. Leaves at the base of the plant and alternating up the stems, flat, linear, to 10cm long, about 3mm wide, hairy, dissected to toothed. Stem leaves with pointed or round basal lobes. Flowers tiny (less than 3mm across), green, with 0 petals, in racemes which lengthen as the fruiting bodies mature, at the tops of the stems.
