Perennial forb to 1m tall. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.5-2cm long, 1-3mm wide, linear to flat, hairless. Flowers blue, with 5 petals, solitary on stalks arising from the bases of the leaves, or solitary or in open groups at the tops of the stems.
