Notes
Perennial forb, prostrate or sprawling, with branches to 2m long, in water or mud. Flowering stems more or less erect. Creeping stems succulent, floating stems spongy. Leaves alternating along the stems, 1-10cm long, 3-30mm wide, flat, hairy or hairless. Flowers yellow, with 5 petals, solitary on stalks arising from the bases of the leaves. Treated as native in NSW, introduced in SA, and of uncertain status in Vic.
