Aromatic perennial forb, prostrate or to 25cm tall. Leaves with a strong mint smell when crushed, opposite each other, 0.4-2cm long, 2-12mm wide, flat, hairless or hairy, dotted with glands, margins smooth or sometimes toothed, tips blunt. Flowers pink, mauve to purple, occasionally white, tubular, vaguely 2-lipped, with 4 lobes, in 2-8-flowered clusters at the bases of paired leaves. Rare SA.
