Annual forb, prostrate, stems to 4cm long. Leaves alternating up the stems, more or less stem-clasping, 0.3-1.5cm long, to 1mm wide, linear to narrow and flat, sticky, hairy sometimes becoming hairless, with pointed tips. Flowers small (less than 3mm across) white to pink, with 0 petals. Flowerheads cylindrical, borne singly at the ends of the stems.
