Perennial forb or shrub, to 50cm tall or sprawling. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.5-4cm long, about 1mm wide, linear, almost hairless to hairy, with pointed tips. Flowers white or pink to purple with yellow centres, and many 'petals'. Flower heads bell-shaped, borne singly at the ends of the stems.
