Introduced annual forb to 25cm tall. Leaves basal and alternating up the stems, 1-4cm long, 2-4mm wide, linear to flat, hairy, usually with pointed tips. Flowers yellow, tubular, with 5 spreading lobes, in dense one-sided spikes at the tops of the stems.
