Shrub to 1.5m tall. Leaves alternating up the stems or clustered, 0.2-2.6cm long, 1.5-10mm wide, flat, hairless to slightly hairy, slightly sticky, edges turned or rolled down, tips pointed, rounded with a straight point, or 3-5 toothed. Flowers with 12-24 purple to mauve, occasionally white, 'petals', with yellow centres. Flower heads cylindrical, borne singly at the ends of the branches.
