Notes
Perennial grass to 2m tall. Leaves mostly at the base of the plant, with a rough to hairless sheath at the base. Ligule a membrane without a fringe of hairs. Leaves flat or folded together lengthwise, 5-30cm long, 1-5mm wide, rough or hairless, usually with slightly rough edges, with a long fine point. Spikelets greenish or straw-coloured, 5-13mm long. Seeds with 0 bristles. Mature seed groups cylindrical to spreading.
