Perennial forb to about 35cm tall or sprawling. Leaves usually fleshy, crowded, about 1-2cm long, linear to narrow and flat, hairy. Flowers small (less than 3mm across), solitary at the bases of the leaves. Fruiting bodies hairy, with 2 spines to 2mm long, one or both sometimes absent, and one wart-like protuberance, more obvious than the spines. Rare Vic.
