Aromatic shrub to 2m tall. Leaves slightly fleshy, alternating up the stems, occasionally with small basal lobes, 5-13cm long, 20-60mm wide overall, hairless or sparsely hairy, divided into linear or threadlike segments to 6cm long and less than 2mm wide, which are entire or again divided. Flowers with 0 petals. Flower heads below the florets in dense groups of 15-150 heads at the ends of the stems. Senecio anethifolius var. anethifolius in NSW.
