Shrub to 2m tall. Leaves somewhat fleshy, alternating up the stems, somewhat crowded, sometimes with bases sometimes cordate and somewhat stem-clasping, the leaf bases sometimes continuing down the stems, 2-11cm long, 10-30mm wide, flat, hairless, glaucous, margins toothed to entire. Flowers with 4-8 yellow 'petals' and yellow centres. Flower heads behind the 'petals' bell-shaped, borne in clusters of 3-50 per stem at the tops of the stems.
