Notes
Introduced annual grass to 1m tall or sprawling. Leaves with a sheath at the base. Ligule a membrane with a fringe of hairs. Leaves 5-30cm long, 3-16mm wide, flat, hairless, hairy, or rough, edges slightly rough, with pointed tips. Spikelets greenish or purplish, 1-3mm long. Mature seed groups cylindrical. Seeds with no bristles on the actual seed, but 1-4 bristles below each spikelet.
