Perennial forb or shrub 1-2m tall. Leaves alternating up the stems, compound, composed of 11-23 leaflets each 0.5-3.5cm long, 2-15mm wide, flat, hairless above, hairy to slightly hairy below, with smooth edges and blunt tips with a slight notch. Flowers purple to pink or mauve, sometimes white, pea-shaped, with 5 petals, 2 almost joined together. Flowers in racemes of 12-30 flowers. Endangered Vic. Threatened list Vic.
