Fragrant annual forb, prostrate or to 50cm tall. Leaves alternating along the stems, compound with 3 leaflets, each 0.4-2cm long, 2-15mm wide, flat, upper surface becoming hairless, lower surface usually hairy, with smooth or toothed margins, and blunt or notched tips. Flowers pea-shaped, pale yellow, with 5 petals, 2 almost joined together. Flowers in loose clusters of 2-8 at the bases of the leaf stalks. Rare Vic.
