Notes
Annual or perennial grass to 55cm tall. Leaves with a sheath at the base, mainly basal. Ligule a fringe of hairs. Leaves 1-7.5cm long, about 1mm wide, flat, folded lengthwise, or rolled, hairless or hairy, with a fine point. Flowerheads purplish or green. Spikelets 4-22mm long. Mature seed groups cylindrical. Seeds with 1 awn to 2mm long. Rare Vic.
