Perennial forb. Leaves basal, 4-12cm long, 5-12mm wide, flat, hairless, margins more or less toothed. Leaf-like bracteoles part way up the flowering stems, opposite each other, flat, to 3cm long, margins toothed to deeply incised, hairless to slightly hairy, sometimes with hairy margins. Flowers yellow, often brownish near the centre of each lobe, tubular, the tube split to the base, with 5 lobes, one to several on stalks arising from the base of the stem 'leaves'. Rare Vic.
