Introduced annual forb to 30cm tall. Leaves opposite each other, connected to each other by a ridge, 0.3-1.5cm long, 0.5-5mm wide, flat, sticky hairy, margins entire to finely toothed, tips blunt. Flowers often small (less than 3mm across), tubular, with 4 spreading lobes shorter than the calyx, pale mauve to bluish or white, solitary at the bases of leaf-like bracts. Family Scrophulariaceae in SA.
