Annual or biennial forb to 40cm tall or prostrate. Leaves opposite each other, with two succulent lobes, rarely leaflets (with a joint between the leaflets and the leaf stem), each 1-4cm long, 10-31mm wide, flat, hairless, often glaucous, tips rounded. Flowers yellow, with 4 petals, borne singly at the bases of the leaves. Fruiting body with 4 angles.
