Annual forb to 30cm tall, sprawling. Leaves opposite each other, with two succulent lobes, each 0.5-2cm long, 1-4mm wide, flat, hairless, tips blunt. Flowers yellow or white, with 4 petals, borne singly at the bases of the leaves. Fruiting bodies 4-angled. Rare Vic.
Differs from Zygophyllum ammophilum in that the flowers have 8 stamens (difficult to tell without a microscope).
