Terminal claw present on each leg.
Seven pairs of compound pores subequal in size (one cephalic pair & six abdominal pores with the last two pairs lateral to or below the vasiform orifice) forming an even arc on both sides; first four abdominal pairs are without central process;
Vasiform orifice subtriangular; Lingula is conical shape; with four setae; inserted (glossary definition)
Paired submedian cephalic setae present or absent; 2 or 3 pairs of submedian thoracic setae present. 12 pairs of submarginal setae.
Related genera: No dried specimens or slides available for comparison for A. lomatiae Tapia. Only written description and general drawing available in Spanish. For Austroaleurodicus pigeanus Baker & Moles, the presence of paired submedian cephalothoracic setae transfers this genus from Metaleurodicus [Martin 2004 Zootaxa: 47].
