Nomenclature:  Nipaleyrodes  Takahashi, 1951.   

    Nipaleyrodes  elongata  Takahashi [Takahashi, 1951:  3-4]

Biology: Pupal case with narrowly elongated shape.

Distribution: Oceania (Malaya)

Taxonomy:  Terminal claws absent on legs.  Submarginal  row of octagonal pores (Octagonal-shaped pores appear round with a star-like center).  Vasiform orifice triangular; operculum  much wider than long;   Lingula large, gradually knobbed ,and  exserted.

Related genera: No other known genus has submarginal row of octagonal pores and only Stenaleyrodes, like Nipaleyrodes, lacks the claw-like terminal appendages of the legs.
