Taxonomy [Corbett 1926:267-268]Margin dentate  having about 60 teeth [Provisional key, Nakahara];  pupal case with 5 pairs of compound pores;  most posterior pair of compound pores falls below level of vasiform orifice which is subchordate shaped; central process of each compound pore appear as a strong elongated spine; operculum twice as long as broad covering half the orifice;  posterior margin of operculum sinuate;  lingula large, setose & exserted.
