Distribution: Neotropical: Puerto Rico. [Dozier, H.L. 1936: 268][S.E.L.].

Host:  [Dozier, H.L. 1936: 144]: Arecaceae: Cocos nucifera;  Clusiaceae:  Calophyllum antillanum;  Fabaceae: Erythrina glauca.

Taxonomy:   Six pairs of compound pores present;  caudal pair of abdominal compound pores smaller than anterior abdominal compound pores;  wide rim pores in broad submarginal band; Submarginal wide rim pore band not extending mesad of compound pores or between compound pores on abdomen; barred septate pores sparse, in single transverse, segmental row medially on abdomen, scattered sub dorsally and  sub marginally; 4-7 submarginal double-rimmed pores posterior of lingula along mesal margin of wide pore band.

Natural Enemies [Fulmek, 1943][LaSalle & Schauff 1994 & 1996]: Encarsia portoricensis (Hymenoptera, Aphelinidae)Aleuroctonus vittatus Dozier (Hymenoptera, Eulophidae).

Related Genera:  Similar to Aleurodicus jamaicensis Cockerell with wide-rimmed pores in a broad, submarginal band, not extending mesad of or between abdominal compound pores;   submargin & subdorsum with scattered septate pores in addition to a single transverse and segmented row in the median region of the abdomen.  Differentiated by the presence of submarginal double-rimmed pores.
