Biology [Sampson & Drews, 1941]:  Occurs on underside of leaf; body covered by coating of mealy wax and four pairs 'of shiny wax filaments which arise from the dorsum, and are many times the length of the body and make the insect very conspicuous.

Distribution: Nearctic: Mexico [Sampson & Drews, 1941]

Host:  Indet Family/Genus [Sampson & Drews, 1941].

Taxonomy [Sampson & Drews, 1941]: No slide or image available.  Margin not dentate.  Elliptical Pupal case with 7 compound pore pairs present with the cephalic pair of compound pores small, bell shaped; anterior four pairs of abdominal compound pores with central process large and of quasi-triangular shape; the two pairs of caudal compound pores small and bell shaped.  Simple pores forming a narrow marginal band of  one or two rows.

Natural Enemies: Unknown.

Related Genera:  This species is closely allied to Aleurodicus dugesii, from which it differs
by having reduced cephalic pair of compound pores, the large abdominal compound pores having a larger central process, and in having a very narrow marginal band of simple pores.
