Nomenclature

Aleurodicus fucatus  Bondar, 1923: 74-75

Distribution: Neotropical: Bahamas [S.E.L.], Brazil [Bondar, 1923: 74-75][S.E.L.], Trinidad & Tobago  [S.E.L.], Venezuela  [S.E.L.].  

Host: Cecropiaceae:   Cecropia palmata [Bondar, 1923: 74];  Fabaceae: Inga [Bondar, 1923: 74];  Sterculiaceae: Theobroma cacao [Bondar, 1923: 74].  

Taxonomy:   Margin not dentate.  Pupal case with 7 pairs of compound pores; caudal 2 abdominal compound pores about 1/2 to 3/4 in diameter to the anterior compound pores, cup-shaped, and with 3 to 4 simple discoidal pores located at each pore base .  Dorsal septate pores present;  septate pores present and oval-shaped; submarginal double-rimmed pores present  in a regularly spaced row separated by more than twice their longest diameter;  simple discoidal pores present in  2 marginal irregular separated rows. 

Natural Enemies:  Unknown.

Related Genera:   Similar to Aleurodicus capiangae Bondar with double-rimmed pores present  in a regularly spaced row separated by more than twice their longest diameter and two marginal rows of pores.  Differs by having 3 to 4 simple discoidal pores located at each pore base which is absent in capiangae,  caudal 2 compound pores about 1/2 to 3/4 in diameter to the anterior compound pores which are subequal in capiangae.
