Nomenclature

Aleurodicus indicus  Reghu & David, 1992 [S.E.L.].

Biology:  Puparia white, oval with copious amounts of powdery wax with long strand of wax arising from each compound pore;  found on underside near or along vein in groups.

Distribution:  Palaearctic:  India  [Reghu, K. & David, B. V. ,1992] [S.E.L.].

Host: Annonaceae:  Polyalthia suberosa [Reghu, K. & David, B. V. ,1992].

Taxonomy:  Margin not dentate and lacking thoracic & caudal pores, plates or combs;  six pairs of compound pores present including cephalic pairs; abdominal compound pore diameters (A4 to A8) are as follows respectively with A7 compound pore being the largest:  45 to 52 μm, 45-50 μm,  42.5 μm, 57.5-60 μm, and 42.5-45 μm;  each compound pore with a central process in the form of a stout spine except for A7 where it is lacking.

Lingula terminates well before the posterior margin.
