Distribution: Neotropical: Costa Rica [Martin, 2005 Zootaxa: 843: 1-10].

Taxonomy[Martin, 2005 Zootaxa: 843: 1-10]:

Seven pairs of compound pores present including larger cephalic & first four pairs of abdominal pairs (35 μm max.) and the last two posterior pairs reduced (16-20 μm) with those on segment VII twice as long as those on VIII; Central processes dagger-shaped, and protuding beyond pore rim.

Vasiform orifice broadly chordate, laterally thickened and almost completely covered by operculum (with rugose surface),  with lingula (apically acute and finely bifid) exserted slightly beyond posterior margin of orifice.

Anterior marginal setae not evident; posterior marginal setae present;12 pairs of submarginal setae; single submedian pair (long & hairlike) of pro-, meso- and metathoracic setae present;  

Narrow submargin with a crowdwd  band of wide-rimmed pores present but not mesally lobed toward compound pores.  Dorsal disc with scattered bright pores with 2 to 3 present in the vacinity of each large compound pore.

Natural Enemies: unknown

Related Genera [Martin, 2004 Zootaxa: 31] Close relative of Aleurodicus trinidadensis Quaintance & Baker but differs with a much greater number of small septate pores on the dorsal disc arranged in distinct chain-like rows across the submedian areas of the cephalothorax and abdominal segments II-VII.
