Nomenclature

Aleurodicus wallaceus  Martin,  1988.

Distribution: Australasian: Indonesia [Martin, 1988][S.E.L.].

Host: Lauraceae:  Persea americana [Martin, 1988].

Taxonomy [Martin, 1988]: Dentate margin, with apical notch (2 to 3 times) or crenulated,  but pupal outline appearing as crenulated; marginal teeth at thoracic & caudal openings not modified.  Pupal case with 7 pairs of compound pores; anterior four pairs of abdominal compound pore diameters 20-25 μm each with a stout central process extending slightly; other pairs 30-40 μm in diameter each with a stout longer spine extending to and overlapping margin slightly.  Lingula large, tongue-shaped and exserted.

Natural Enemies  [Martin, 1988]:  Observed high parasite level but no adult parasites found.

Related genera [Martin, 1988] Allied to Aleurodicus holmesii (Maskell) & Aleurodicus machili Takahashi because of the six abdominal pairs of compound pores of the former & five of the later, but differs by the characteristics or number of the marginal teeth.
