Taxonomy [Martin 1999: 48] [Quaintance & Baker 1914: 98] Margin dentate,  or if crenulate then modified modified as teeth or comb at the caudal & thoracic tracheal margins;  dorsum sometimes with a number of small pores; subdorsal suture absent;  vasiform orifice subcircular to subchordate with an operculum covering most of orifice obscuring the lingula;  A1 setae pair absent; venter often heavily stippled.
