Dialeurodicus caballeroi sp. nov.

Biology [Martin 2004 Zootaxa: 41-42] Ovoid with rays and median line variably brownish-pigmented; no noticeable wax secretions.

Host [Martin 2004 Zootaxa: 43]: Lauraceae:  ?Nectandra sp., Persea americana.

Distribution [Martin 2004 Zootaxa: 40-43] Neotropical:  Belize; Nicaragua.

Taxonomy [Martin 2004 Zootaxa: 40-43-41]:   Puparial shape is slightly asymmetric.

True margin diaphanous mesad of which resembles a crenulatated margin; sometimes margin is modified at the apex and gives the appearance of a pair of thoracic & caudal tracheal folds; 9 pairs of rays from pupal margin to mesad each terminating into a cluster of simple pores (some arising from shallow tubercles.

Vasiform orifice with straight lateral sides, apically truncate and often trilobate apically;  operculum wider than long, rounded laterally with a pair of posteriormarginal setae; lingula inserted.

15 pairs of submarginal setae  present, including caudal pair; similar to length to operculum;  single pairs of submedian cephalothoracic setae similar to submarginal setae; 8Th abdominal submedian setae lateral to anterior corners of vasiform orifice.

Compound pores absent; single row of dark pores mesad of the crenulatated margin, each pore associated with 2 crenulations;  dorsal disc with numerous distributed minute pore/porette geminate pairs;  rays distally and at the proximal end have slightly larger 3-loculate pores;  3-loculate pores also highlight the median line of the puparium.
