Nomenclature :

Aleurodicus (Dialeurodicus) cockerelli Quaintance.

Biology: Oval shape with yellow to brown color.

Host:    Myrtaceae: indet Family/Genus, Psidium  cattleianum  [Quaintance  & Baker1913: 28].

Distribution:  Neotropical:  Brazil [Quaintance  & Baker1913: 28][S.E.L.].

Taxonomy:  This species lack the reticulated or tessellated derm; simple pores present scattered over derm; paired pores lacking; vasiform orifice subchordate;  operculum subrectangular with lateral margins rounded, cephalic & caudal margins straight;   straight spine-like projection from the caudal end of the vasiform orifice.  Margin divided by shallow, mesad incisions forming rectangular shaped dentate like margin.

Related species: Closely related to Dialeurodicus similis Bondar which lacks the spine-like projection from the caudal end of the vasiform orifice;with a darker margin than the rest of the pupal case.
