Biology[Martin, 1999: 53] : Puparia normally pale; about 45 species are described.
Distribution[Martin, 1999: 53] : Widespread
Taxonomy[Martin, 1999: 43] : Puparia. Pale with little dorsal sculpturing. Margin. Crenulated and not modified at the thoracic margin. Dorsum. A concentric dorsal suture-like fold or furrow absent. Adominal segment VII not reduced medially. Vasiform orifice elongate-chordate to rounded-triangular to chordate with clearly defined posterior-lateral margin; containing a spinulose lingula (inserted) and completely exposed with a trapezoidal operculum covering only the anterior half of the vasiform orifice.
Chaetotaxy. Cephalic, first & eighth abdominal segment, and caudal pairs of setae present;margin with small setae and some enlarged setae subdorsally
