Asialeyrodes [Corbett, 1935: 841] :
Biology: Broadly elliptical in shape.
Distribution: Afrotropical, Australasia, Oriental, and Palaearctic.
Taxonomy. Margin entire with the dorsal disk separated by a submarginal suture widely separated from the outermost submarginal margin; thoracic & caudal folds and pores present; operculum & small vasiform orifice subchordate with posterior margin entire, not notched; lingula obscured.
Natural Enemies: Not Known.
Similar genera: Related to several genera by having present
a marginal fold separating the submargin from the dorsal
disk. Differs from Aleurothrixus in puparial
shape and that Asialeyrodes has a concentric subdorsal suture that differs from
Aleurothrixus which has a disjuncted
suture.
